Wait, what?

For the past 2 years I've been designing at the LEGO Group, working across cultural celebrations, play innovation, and physical storytelling. Here are some of the products I've helped bring to life.

Firecracker

My first launched product and a personal milestone.

A wall-mounted Spring Festival firecracker, 1,039 pieces tall, that hides a secret: press the button and the firecracker opens to reveal a hidden scene, a family celebrating New Year's Eve, or the God of Fortune welcoming the new year. Two scenes, one object, one moment of surprise.

I worked alongside the Chinese Spring Festival team on the model design, testing, and quality assurance, making sure every detail was right before it reached people's walls.

Ancient Gazing moon

The Song Dynasty (960–1279) is one of China's richest cultural periods: Refined architecture, flourishing gastronomy, poetry that still resonates today. We wanted to build a set that felt genuinely rooted in that world, not a surface interpretation of it.
To understand what that world actually looked like, I went deep video games set in the era, historical paintings, architectural references, period literature. The question wasn't "what looks Chinese?" It was "what was real, and what made it worth living in?"

As a model designer I worked closely with graphic designers and concept designers to bring this set to life, from early ideas to final product. I contributed to the physical design of the house as well as the storytelling development , and the interior design with all details that make this world feel real.

The result: 1,530 pieces, 9 characters, available in 30+ markets worldwide.
